Haute Design
Q: What or who is your greatest inspiration?
A:
Whether large or small, I am inspired by a range of things… God, family and friends, those I work with, places all over the world, storybooks, movies, children, catalogues, designers, photographers, those who create with an honest and apparent passion… the list is endless, really.
Q: Why are you interested in fashion/modelling/photography?
A: I love the artistic and exploratory nature of it.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I couldn’t tell you. It is purely inherent. One might look at me and glean something, and yet another person might do the same, and interpret differently.
Q: Did your blog help you in your career?
A: Definitely. It’s been wonderful to connect with people all over the world, whether personally or professionally. It has also been a useful tool in research and for further developing my eye.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time? – apart from blogging obviously!
A: I like to design—many things. My passions have turned into a rewarding and adventurous career. I also like to visit bookshops, read, take up new projects, explore new places, go antiquing, enjoy time with loved ones and friends, plan trips, to dream…
Q: What is your advice for young people who are interested in a career in fashion/modelling/photography?
A: The best advice given to me, years ago: if you want to know something, anything, go to google first as your number one source for research. Get involved and network with those around you who you not only find intriguing, but who can also help you achieve your goals. Most of all, do not be afraid—afraid to create a presence online, to get to know people all over the world, to introduce yourself. You never know what you may learn, whom you will meet, or how your life may change.
