Probably not what you want to hear but loosing weight quick means you put it back on quick and most of the time even more. When your body gets into starvation mode it will store every calorie - for hard times to come. You didn't put on 5kg (or what ever weight) within a week or two, so you can't expect your body to loose it that quick either.
A balanced diet of fruits and fibres and low GI foods (slow energy releasing foods) works great (at least for me). If you want to loose weight the calorie intake has to be less than what your body burns. Sport not only tones your muscles and makes you look healthy and lean but also burns calories, releases a hormone called endorphine which are the body's natural 'feel good' chemicals.
So in the end it's all a win-win situation. You'll loose weight in a healthy way, keep it off and next to that you'll feel good.

hey gaby! i need to lose weight could u help i seem to be 8 stone and i would like to loose a couple of stones please advise on eating ways and how to loose the weight and the body fat thanks xx
