Hi there guys,
I know there are lots of this type of topics but none actually very recent except lots from 2009.
I received an email from both agencies that they want to represent me. There is a small problem, for Risque Model Management I have to pay a fee up front:
"A one off membership fee of £45 (which goes to the graphic designer/webmaster not the agency) is required. This will cover the creation of your Risque z-card, upload onto the website model database, and photo shoot (for new/stronger images to be taken for representation) http://www.risquemodel.co.uk/risque-portfolio-shoot.asp (book a studio session). We will promote you to clients in two ways. 1. Online through the website 2. By sending your Risque z-card to all of our clientele promoting you as one of our new faces, therefore enhancing your chances of work. You will also print this z-card out to leave at any castings/jobs that you attend representing the agency (clients will use this card to contact us to book you for work), so it is a mandatory requirement to be represented by us. We take 20% commission from all work given. Regular job fees range from under £100 to £1000’s so your initial investment should swiftly be recouped. "
And for Fresh Agents:
"There is no charge to join our agency, but there is the opportunity to be featured and marketed on our website. If you would like your images to be added to our website there is a small one off charge of £25, this is purely to cover the administration of your application and the cost of loading your web entry.
If however you decide not to feature on our website this does not mean that you will not be able to receive work, it just means you will not be marketed as much."
Now in some way I believe it is fair enough, but then I am a bit worried too. Its a small fee to pay I know, i dont have much to lose, but If any of you had/have sign up with their agency, represented in any way by any of them, pls let me know!
Cheers!
Corinna
