I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on how to get my first portfolio started. I am looking for commercial work as thats what I best suit. I have contacted some photographers but none have got back to me. If anyone could help, or give advice id be so grateful

i'm not exactly an expert considering i'm new to it all too but what ever you do, do not get scammed. if you find a photographer for a portfolio then find out prices before you agree to anything, that way you can't be pressured into buying things you don't need. :) good luck x

Hi best thing to do is ask you booker with models connect. Be very careful because it can be very pricey! I had mine done at the Bluerooms in London but to be honest it was very expensive try to see if you could get some TFP this is where you dont pay photographer, they take pictures of you as normally they are after prints for their portfolios, and you get copy of all pictures for giving up your time! Professional agencies if they think you are good will not ask you to pay money either they will ask you to go for a test shoot. Hope this helps!
