The latest round of runway shows for Spring / Summer 2010 have been notable for the wealth of new modelling talent on display.

The Calvin Klein show in New York featured almost exclusively new faces, and Calvin Klein creative director Francisco Costa wasn’t alone in securing the brightest of the ‘bright young things’ allowing them to cut their teeth, walking for the world’s biggest fashion brands.

The number of new models from Holland also provoked comment, with nearly 50% of some shows featuring Dutch girls. One model who created a bigger buzz than most was 19 year old Lisanne De Jong from Amsterdam.

Represented by TESS Management and Elite Models New York, Lisanne was booked exclusively for Prada’s Spring / Summer show in Milan. The Italian design house is world-renowned for selecting the very best new talent: former Prada girls include Daria Werbowy and Sasha Pivovarova. If you’re hand-picked by Prada, you can be fairly certain that a great career isn’t too far behind.

Lisanne’s success was not just limited to Milan. In Paris, she opened the show for Prada’s sister label Miu Miu, and walked for Balenciaga. Securing such impressive bookings so early in her career has resulted in Lisanne being tipped as the next big thing by www.vogue.com.

Her star is so much on the rise that she has also been named a Top 10 Newcomer to the industry by www.models.com, citing her eclectic personal style as another reason why this girl bears watching.

Lisanne’s success does not end with the runway either: she is rumoured to have just shot a major ad campaign which is due to be revealed early next year. With all this in her favour, Lisanne’s name is about to get a whole lot more familiar.
