Famous for making the names (and careers) of models such as Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima and Miranda Kerr, American lingerie brand ‘Victoria’s Secret’ has caused a flutter by introducing its latest batch of Angels.

The mega-brand houses a feature-length catwalk show each year, which is televised across America and viewed by millions more online. The sultry show borrows models from the fashion world, who lend the lingerie some couture cachet, while in return the girls (Victoria’s ‘Angels’) become part of the pop-culture landscape virtually overnight. As an exchange of favours, it seems more than fair.

Ahead of the show in December, two of the newest Angels have been recently announced: American Chanel Iman, and Britain’s own Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Chanel may not initially seem like the most obvious choice, as she is best known for her work in high-fashion editorials and runway shows, but the lingerie brand have famously picked models of the moment and made them into fashion superstars.

Devon-born Rosie, whose recent credits include a season as the face of Burberry, is no stranger to lingerie modelling. Earlier this year she filmed a Valentine’s Day commercial for ‘Agent Provocateur’, which is still a popular hit on YouTube.

With an established fan-base already in place, the addition of a coveted pair of wings can only mean one thing: Rosie’s career is about to take flight.
