No-one could accuse Kate Moss of being a girl without a Plan B.
Since her discovery in 1988, Kate has gone onto conquer the fashion world with her ability to spin a trend, both on and off the catwalk. In addition to her supremely successful collaboration with high-street favourite Topshop, news broke this week that Kate is to join forces with French luxury label Longchamp to design a range of handbags.
The affiliation is not quite as left-field as you might think: Kate has modelled for the label over a number of years, as well as fronting their ad campaigns for several seasons.
The new range, called Kate Moss for Longchamp, is will be available to buy in stores from February 11th. The designs were brought to life by Longchamp’s artistic director Sophie Delafontaine who worked extensively with the supermodel to produce a final product that everyone was happy with.
This will be an ‘extended project’ with regular ‘Kate’ collections appearing throughout the year. Like Kate’s work for Topshop, Longchamp anticipates that this launch will be the start of a very lucrative friendship.
