--------------------------------------------------------------------- We are currently producing a television documentary about marriage for Channel 4, exploring how different couples make their marriages work. We are featuring between five and ten couples in the programme who all have a different take on marriage, and different ways of nurturing their relationship. I think it’s interesting how the role of the ‘traditional’ wife has come full circle and now, rather than opting to choose the professional career route, many educated and successful woman are choosing to be a ‘home-maker. I am looking to speak to a married couple, where the wife has taken the conscious decision to stay at home, from the outset. I would like to speak to a young ambitious and intelligent woman, who would have undoubtedly been successful in the business world (if they had chosen it) but has instead decided to take the step into home life. Is there anyone you know who is fulfilling this role and would be potentially interested in the project? We would like to showcase an inspiring couple in the programme. To tell you a bit about us: North One Television is an award-winning production company, with a long track record of compelling and thought-provoking documentaries. We are part of the All3Media Group, one of the key providers of television in the UK. We have made a number of programmes about health and family issues built on strong and trusting relationships with the people we film. Examples include the award winning series ‘The Hospital’ featuring patients and their families, ‘Medic One’ about the London Air Ambulance service, ‘Four Of A Kind’ about Britain’s only quadruplets and ‘Blind Young Things’ about blind teenagers. Do you have any models who currently fit this profile or perhaps know any ex-models who have left the industry to be a full time housewife? Perhaps you know some friends or contacts yourself who may be interested? I am happy to talk to anyone interested in the project without them having to make any commitment. I’d be really grateful if you’d give me a ring on 0207 502 5758 or email lucie.holmes@northonetv.com as soon as possible as I am against a deadline. Go to News archive...
